Gal Gadot is back on the big screen as The Evil Queen in a new Snow White film

"Mirror, mirror, on the wall — who's the fairest of them all?"

The Evil Queen is set to return and will grace us with her presence on the big screen once again as Disney will remake the iconic Snow White and the Seven Dwarves into a live-action feature film.

And to play the role of The Evil Queen is Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot. According to a report by Deadline on Wednesday, Gadot is already in final negotiations with the film’s team.

On Thursday, Gadot shared the news on her Instagram account - posting on her stories a screenshot of the report with an Evil Queen sticker. She will work side by side with West Side Story and Shazam! actress Rachel Zegler who will play the role of Snow White.

Disney had always set their eyes on Gadot to play the role of the Evil Queen. Gadot was also fascinated of the chance of joining stars like Angelina Jolie and Cate Blanchett, who previously played iconic villains from the Disney vault.

On the red carpet for her Netflix movie Red Notice, Gadot told Entertainment Tonight how thrilled she was to play as the iconic Evil Queen. "Well, first of all, I’m excited about the fact that this is, like, an icon character. I’m excited to create an iconic villain character in my own voice. I’m very, very, very excited and looking forward to playing The Evil Queen.’

She added of the legendary line we cannot wait to hear her speak as the villain: ‘Mirror, mirror on the wall. Can’t wait!’

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which was released in 1938 was Disney's initial animated feature film. Deadline says Disney's new Snow White movie will expand its story from the classic Snow White movie from the '30s.

Oscar Award winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the persons behind La La Land and The Greatest Showman, are set to create new songs for the adaptation. While Marc Webb, director of 500 Days of Summer and The Amazing Spider-Man, will direct the live-action adaptation.
