The year is 2022, and despite the passage of two years, the entire globe is still looking for ways to defeat COVID-19. The Coronavirus, with many of its variants, infects every one of us. Just as we begin to relax, our minds begin to become restless as we are made aware of new variants that are spreading. It's a loop we'd like to see end eventually.
This encounter has taught us the importance of clean air. To accomplish this, we require technologies capable of combating airborne contaminants and viruses, particularly in our households. With the country lowering the alert levels, individuals are becoming more willing to venture out, and children are soon returning to school, it's critical that densely populated areas have the necessary devices to hold viruses at bay.
Air purifiers of various sorts have grown all over the years. Daikin, a Japanese company that reportedly conducted a study on their newest Streamer technology, is one that stands out. The study has been conducted by Daikin Industries Ltd in cooperation with Professor Shigeru Kyuwa from the Department of Biomedical Science of the University of Tokyo, and a group of research led by Professor Shigeru Morikawa from the Department of Microbiology of the Okayama University of Science.
Daikin Industries, Ltd. has demonstrated that their Streamer technology can combat the Coronavirus's Alpha, Beta, and Gamma strains up to 99.9 percent of the time, while the Omicron strain is only 99.8 percent of the time. Streamer emitted from Daikin's air purifiers was tested and was completed in three hours.
Long before such lethal pulmonary pathogens reach critical mass, Daikin was eager to focus on ensuring that over 60 types of deadly pollutants were eliminated. Some include bacteria, allergens, and viruses such as influenza, RSV (Respiratory syncytial virus), and mouse noroviruses. Following 18 years of development, this invention has known to be successful against previously unknown harmful substances.
The Streamer device operates by discharging plasma and does oxidative degradation to contaminants. This plasma emission uses air treatment technology that is consistent in generating high-speed electrons, which is a technological innovation that is modern. When these electrons are released and merged with air components, they undergo a rather effective oxidative decomposition. Not only does it kill viruses, but it also eliminates bacteria, odors, and indoor pollutants like formaldehyde, which is included in many of our home furnishings.
Daikin tested the Streamer technology against influenza viruses, Adenovirus, Coxsackie virus, enterovirus, ecovirus, and measles in collaboration with universities and public research institutions, and the results showed that it was effective against these viruses. And it's also good against toxicants, seven different forms of bacteria, including Legionella and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 30 different allergens, including cedar pollen and Dermatophagoides farinae (excrement/carcass), and 19 different potentially toxic substances. Molds, mites, and pollen are also present.
Daikin's Streamer technology has proven to be effective in eliminating all of these hazardous substances. Their air purifiers also provide numerous advantages such as air cleaning, deodorization, stronger pressure that results in rapid air purification, and simple features that make clean air quality simple.
